Job Description
An Accounts Senior is responsible for managing full sets of accounts, ensuring timely financial reporting, and supporting clients or management on accounting and financial matters. The role also includes supervising junior staff and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients, including month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare and submit GST returns accurately and on time.
- Process monthly payroll and CPF submissions.
- Advise clients on accounting systems, treatments, and financial reporting matters.
- Liaise with government authorities (e.g., IRAS) when required.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and reporting deadlines.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in client accounting or public practice
- Proficient in Sage50, QuickBooks, ABSS and XERO
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with good command of English
